Yoga Nidra or “Yogic Sleep” is a relaxation class. The entire body is resting in savasana during this 45-minute practice. The body is relaxed but the mind is present. Yoga Nidra can improve sleep, reduce stress and rid the body of psychological wounds. True healing can occur during this space between sleeping and waking. Unlike meditation where you are asked to focus on a mantra or your breath, Yoga Nidra simply asks you to let go. There is no concentration. The only senses used in this practice are listening and feeling. You will listen to the instructor and follow along with her mentally to restore your body, mind and senses to their natural function.
Almost all Western yoga is Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga simply refers to the practice of physical postures. All levels are welcome for this class.

When those needs are not met we do not function as we were meant to be. We fall apart. We are numb. We ache. We hurt others." Brene Brown - All We Need Is Love.
